I am looking for funding for my organization. How do I apply for funding? How can I schedule a meeting with someone at Kolibri?

Kolibri Foundation does not have an open application process. Our grantmaking is done by invitation-only.
As a small family foundation we have limited capacity to take many meetings. However, you can introduce your organization and work by filling out this form. Please note this will not guarantee future funding or a meeting.

What is a spend down?

We define a spend down (or sunset) organization as a philanthropic organization that has made the intentional decision to grant resources at an expedited pace that will lead the foundation to permanently close.

When will Kolibri spend down?

By the end of 2027

What is the eligibility to receive funds?

Must be a 501c3 non-profit organization. If your group or project does not have this status on your own, you are still eligible to receive funds if you have a fiscal sponsor that is a 501c3 organization.
We do not fund individuals, businesses, 501c4 or corporations.
