Kolibri is set to redistribute all of the foundation’s assets by the end of the Fall of 2027, fulfilling our commitment to the radical redistribution of wealth. As of June 2025, we have closed out and completed our final multi-year grantmaking cycle. .
The Foundation is no longer accepting submissions through our inquiry form or taking meetings with organizations we are not currently funding.

What is a spend down?

We define a spend down (or sunset) organization as a philanthropic organization that has made the intentional decision to grant resources at an expedited pace that will lead the foundation to permanently close.

What is the eligibility to receive funds?

Must be a 501c3 non-profit organization. If your group or project does not have this status on your own, you are still eligible to receive funds if you have a fiscal sponsor that is a 501c3 organization.
We do not fund individuals, businesses, 501c4 or corporations.
